Mentorship

The WBASNY Mentorship Committee is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive community within the legal profession. Our primary objective is to create a robust and interconnected network that caters to underrepresented students, newly admitted attorneys, and seasoned legal professionals. We understand the importance of mentorship in the legal field and aim to serve as a dynamic pipeline and support system for all those interested in pursuing a career in law.

Our approach to mentorship is multifaceted, emphasizing layered mentorship experiences. Seasoned attorneys will engage with aspiring mentees to provide guidance, share knowledge, and offer invaluable insights into the legal world. We also encourage a two-way exchange through reverse mentoring, where students and attorneys collaborate and learn from each other. Our Mentorship Committee will facilitate this through networking events, informative workshops, internship opportunities, and regular meetings, creating an environment where both mentors and mentees can thrive.

Join us in building a vibrant legal community where mentorship knows no boundaries. Whether you’re a student just beginning your legal journey, a newly admitted attorney seeking guidance, or a seasoned professional looking to give back, our Mentorship Committee is here to support you every step of the way. Together, we’ll shape the future of the legal profession with expertise, camaraderie, and a commitment to equity and inclusivity.
