The panel will include a facilitated discussion on the presence and impact of women in the courts, updates the speakers have to offer, as well as ideas for how WBASNY members can take action to improve the presence and impact of women in courts. The main topics that will be touched upon are i) Challenges Facing Female Judges and Court Personnel, ii) Challenges Facing Female Litigators in the Courtroom, iii) Challenges Facing Female Litigants, iv) Looking Ahead, Advice for female attorneys navigating the Courts, the role of mentors and sponsors in forwarding progress for women in the profession and the role of judges and local gender fairness committees regarding advancing women in the courts.
