Calling all volunteers to help celebrate
Read Across America and Author Palooza Week!
March 1st, 3rd, and 4th
Montgomery Elementary School
Read Across America began in 1998 and is an annual reading motivation and awareness program that calls for every child in every community to celebrate reading on or around March 2, the birthday of beloved children’s author Dr. Seuss. The founders of Read Across America strongly believe that a child’s passion for reading has a direct effect on their future success.
Each year, chapters of WBASNY hold programs with local schools to help promote and encourage a love of reading to young children. This year, WBAOSC is helping Montgomery Elementary School celebrate Dr. Seuss and other amazing authors to spread the love of reading to local children during their celebration of Author Palooza Week!
On March 1st, 3rd, and 4th, we will be reading to elementary school students at Montgomery Elementary School, Valley Central School District, each morning from 9:30-10:45. If you are interested in joining us on any or all of those days, please contact Kelly Pressler at kap@jacobowitz.com
We hope to see you there!
